The advantages of individual lessons (or private lessons as they were once known as) are that they are tailor made to suit you. You can learn whatever you want to learn at your own pace in the style & level of your choice rather than take the risk of wasting time. This is particularly useful if your time is valuable. Some people feel too shy to go to group classes until they feel reasonably competent.

In addition to any style of salsa (6 styles or a mix), you also have the option of learning any of the alternative dances listed here.

You may also want to learn a routine for a special occasion (such as a wedding). Individual lessons would be good for that too, but please don't leave it until the last minute as you may not learn it well enough for your liking in time.

If you feel that you are not learning sufficiently fast, or wish to learn something that you are not getting out of group lessons, then you may consider learning on a one to one basis, a couple to one teacher or a small group with Barry who is a very competent & experienced teacher and would be pleased to hear from anyone considering learning privately.

We have just aquired the use of a studio in Whitechapel, London E1 for a limited period for no extra cost, or we would be pleased to travel to you if you have a suitable space. We have a huge collection of MP3 music which we can connect to your an existing system or bring our own if you prefer.

Barry has applied for a CRB check & is scheduled to start working in a secondary school in early September, so please check back here again for an update on this situation. Alternatively & in the meantime, Barry may be accompanied by an adult who has undergone such a check if required to work with children.

Individual lessons cost £40 for the first hour and then £20 per contiguous hour depending on the location (within 30mins travelling time from Whitechapel).
