The advantages of individual lessons (or private lessons as they are sometimes known) are that they are tailor made to suit you. You will learn what you want to learn and in the style, level and a time of your choice rather than take the risk of wasting time. This is particularly useful if your time is valuable. Some people are too shy to go to group classes until they feel reasonably competant.
In addition to any style of salsa, you also have the option of learning any of the alternative dances listed here.
You may also want to learn a routine for a special occasion (such as a wedding). Individual lessons would be good for that too, but please don't leave it until the last minute as you may not learn it well enough for your liking in time.
If you feel that you are not learning sufficiently fast, or wish to learn something that you are not getting out of group lessons, then you may consider learning on a one to one basis, a couple to one teacher or a small group with Barry who is a very competent & experienced teacher and would be pleased to hear from anyone considering learning privately.
Barry has no studio of his own, but would be pleased to travel to you if you have a suitable space. Barry has a huge collection of MP3 music which he uses in conjunction with speakers or can plug into your own system if you prefer.
Individual lessons cost £40 for the first hour and then £20 per consecutive hour depending on the location (within 30mins travelling time from Whitechapel).
